WeHaveIt is a Chrome extension that helps you avoid buying a product you already own. This policy describes how the extension handles data.
WeHaveIt only exists to remember products you mark as already owned and to warn you when you open a matching product page on a shopping site.
When you open a supported shopping product page, or when you choose to save the current page, the extension reads the product title, price, image URL, and page URL from that page. It does this so it can show the “already in your home” reminder and save the item to your list.
Your list is stored locally in Chrome’s extension storage on your computer. It can include product title, price, image URL, product URL, shop name, the date you saved it, and an optional label such as “Me”.
WeHaveIt does not create an account. It does not upload your list to our servers. In this version there is no cloud sync, no analytics, and no advertising.
If you buy Pro, this browser also stores your Paddle transaction id locally so the 50-item cap can be removed. That id is not uploaded to WeHaveIt servers.
Pro is sold on this website. Paddle is the merchant of record. Paddle collects the email, billing address, and payment details needed to charge the subscription and send receipts. WeHaveIt never sees your card number. Paddle’s privacy policy applies to that checkout.
The extension asks for access to known shopping sites so it can show the reminder bar on product pages. You can also grant access to another site when you save a page that is not on that list. After you buy Pro, the extension also runs on this website so it can read the Paddle transaction id from the success page and unlock unlimited items in this browser. You can remove the extension at any time from chrome://extensions, which deletes the local list.
Product information is used only to provide WeHaveIt’s disclosed purpose: remembering what you already own and reminding you on later product pages. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used for credit, employment, or similar decisions.
We do not sell or share your list with third parties. Chrome itself stores the extension data on your device as part of the browser.
WeHaveIt is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If data handling changes after you install the extension, we will disclose that in the Chrome Web Store listing and on this page.
